The RDX comes with a 17.1-gallon fuel, which won’t disappoint drivers whenever they drop by the gas pump. Since it’s an SUV, the RDX needs to have the power to drive a lot of miles consistently for drivers. The fuel tank plays its part in the total fuel efficiency that the RDX offers drivers, and pairs well with the EPA-estimated miles per gallon ratings.
The RDX has a maximum range of over 470 miles when configured with the impressive SH-AWD® drivetrain. The RDX models that use all-wheel drive get 21 miles per gallon in the city, 27mpg on the highway, which results in 23 miles per gallon combined. The three trim levels that equip front-wheel drive are the standard RDX, A-Spec, and Technology models. Out of those models, the standard RDX and Technology trims get 22 miles per gallon city, 28 miles per gallon highway, which results in 24mpg, combined.
The RDX has a 2.0-liter Turbo Aluminum-Alloy 4-Cylinder engine that produces 272 horsepower. This is the lone engine the RDX offers and it does not shy away from flashing its horsepower. Its performance is quite adaptive and responsive, can handle corners with ease, and take off from stop signs in a second. Plus, the ability to go 0-60 miles per hour in 6.6 seconds makes the RDX one of the most exciting sport utility vehicles available.

She was incredibly kind, sincere, patient, and professional, and we never felt pressured or rushed. Her genuine approach made us feel comfortable and confident in our decision. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about my experience with the finance department. During the final paperwork, we were asked to complete the transaction using a touchscreen that was lagging and becoming frustrating to use. My daughter asked Diane/Diana in finance why there was not an option to use paper or DocuSign, as we have done at other dealerships. Her response was a sarcastic, “Because technology has advanced,” which she proceeded to repeat three times.
The tone and response were unnecessary, condescending, and disrespectful. A simple explanation would have been sufficient. We have purchased vehicles from many dealerships over the years, and I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism from a finance department. If I were judging Acura Sugar Land solely based on this interaction, I would not return or recommend this dealership to others.
Thankfully, Ms. April’s professionalism, sincerity, and kindness made a significant difference in our overall experience. The fact that we walked in only intending to browse and ultimately purchased a vehicle speaks to the quality of service she provided. She is truly an asset to this dealership and the reason I would consider returning in the future. If I do return, I would only want to work with Ms. April again.
Sterling McCall Acura in Sugar Land, TX, has been my go-to car dealership since it opened. The service is excellent no matter if it is for regular servicing or state required emission inspection. The staff is always extremely courteous and attentive and the shop always gives your a good car wash as part of the service. I’m a customer for life or as long as I still own the Acura MDX.
